Greyson and his Mom's Mom's Mom

This past week I took the kids to Kalamazoo to see Grandma Johnson. She had never met Greyson and we have not seen her since Christmas. The girls had a great time playing with the same toys I played with when I was little. Grandma let the girls help themselves to as much candy as they wanted...starburst...hershey's kisses...ice cream cones...starburst...kisses...you get the picture. It was the same thing we did when we were little. I am glad Greyson finally got to meet his Great-Grandma! And...we left with a bag of starburst and kisses...
Greyson has been sleeping through the night and the other day he rolled over from his belly to his back. James and I clapped and cheered and he acted as if he had no clue what he did. Oh, wait...he had no clue what he did. He has been getting more and more fun each day.

Baby Grey

I finally finished Greyson's letters for his room. I don't know why it took me so long - it really is a fun project. I had painted the girls' letters different colors but I decided to do Greyson's all in blue.
Greyson is smiling a lot more often - it is fun to see his personality!

The girls love their brother. Sydney is of course in her princess attire - oh, she also informs me that princesses do not wear anything in their hair which is why she makes me take her pigtails out EVERY time she puts on her Cinderella-fairy-princess garb.

FINALLY!

Raleigh FINALLY learned how to ride her two-wheeler today! It only took a little convincing and threatening that I would take Sydney's training wheels off and teach her to ride first that Raleigh decided to really try. It took about 5 minutes and she was doing circles around the parking lot. She is so proud of herself.
James and I are FINALLY getting back to normal after both being sick this weekend. I don't remember the last time both of us were sick. James took the girls to Tunnel Park for my family's get-together so I could stay home on the couch and he returned with Greyson, no girls, and a trip right to bed. He is on the couch today watching movies but feeling much better. We got the girls back today - they seem to be doing well - hopefully no sickness for them!

Photo Dump

The girls helped me plant flowers last week - it is always nice to have them planted - feels like summer!

Grey started smiling - of course when I finally got a picture of him smiling, one of the girls had their arms in the picture - I guess they were the ones making him smile.
Drying time in the towels from Grandma LB. Actually, Greyson already had his PJ's on so I stuck him back in the towel for the picture - you can't really tell...

Working on the Rental House with lots of help...

We have spent the last few weeks at the rental house getting it ready for the new tenents. James tiled the backsplash and the landing area and we painted the kitchen and entry way. The girls who are going to live there painted the living room. We also painted the wood trim white. New windows are going in next week.
Raleigh was a big help with the shop vac - she wanted to help so bad...

We made cinderella clean the floors

and Greyson didn't help much...
We only have little bit left to do - It was nice to have a few weeks to work on it this year.

Tulip Time

I took the girls to the Wednesday Tulip Time Parade with my sisters and nieces. The girls loved the parade - especially the bands. The girls loved to dance with all the music and shake their bottoms! Sydney is wearing the Dutch Costume that my niece Maggie wore in our wedding and Raleigh is wearing the costume that was mine when I was in the Tulip Time parade when I was in elementary school.
Sydney loved the wooden shoes that used to be Raleigh's. She thought she was so cool - and threw a fit when I took them off to walk back to the car...
