Dinosaur Cuteness

Last week James took the girls to the museum to see the dinosaurs. The girls had a great time playing and spending time with Daddy.

Raleigh's favorite dinosaur is the long neck dinosaur - she learns about dinosaurs from "the boys in her class who like to play with dinosaurs instead of listening to their teacher"

The girls gave Greyson the nickname "dinosaur cuteness" . I think they named him that when he was wearing a dinosaur shirt. These dinosaurs are not really cute - hopefully that doesn't mean anything!

It's My Due Date!

April 22nd! It is my due date. Greyson is here and 3 weeks old. He is doing great. Last night was a little rough for him - he woke up every 2 hours during the later part of the night. At least I got to watch the recorded version of Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. It goes so much faster with no commercials!

The girls do great with their little brother - they try to be so helpful. Sydney can make him stop crying by singing to him - really funny.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. I did not think we were going to have Greyson here yet and it was so nice to have him with us. I am glad the Easter Bunny thought ahead and had the baskets planned early:)

A few years ago at our church Easter service it really hit me about what it meant that Jesus died on the cross for us. I have always known that He died to save me from my sins, however, the Easter after baby James was born I remember sitting in church and realizing that Jesus died for me but more importantly at the time, He also died for my son. Jesus died for Baby James. I know Little James is in Heaven because Jesus died for him. This Easter I was reminded again that Jesus died for baby Hudson. Because of what Jesus did, Hudson has eternal life in Heaven. I cannot, as a parent, ask for anything better for my children than for them to go to Heaven when they die. So...we continue praying for Raleigh, Sydney, and Greyson, that they would continue to know Jesus as their Lord and that someday, we will all get to see each other again. What a wonderful gift God gave to us.

We are HOME!

We are home after what seems like a very quick 2 days. Greyson is doing great - he is sleeping now but the girls are not home from Grandma's house so the noise is not home either. We feel so blessed by how quick and easy everything was and more blessed for a healthy baby. We cannot believe he is finally here.

I bought this outfit over 3 years ago for Sydney if she was a boy. I am glad that I saved it and I am glad it is a little cold out too! There were times I thought I'd never get to use the baby boy clothes. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support over the past year!

Greyson has a head full of dark hair - we'll see if he keeps it or turns blonde like Sydney!

Greyson James

Greyson James Kuipers is here! He was born 3 weeks early and weighs 7lb. 7oz. I had a pretty easy and quick labor and delivery and he is doing great! More pictures later...

Getting Closer

I had my "37" week appointment yesterday. I will actually be 37 weeks tomorrow. I was dialated to almost 4 and 80% effaced. So the time is getting closer. I think we are still planning on inducing on the 16th if I make it that far. I can't believe it could be 16 days or less. The baby is still moving around a lot which is always nice. My doctor could feel the baby's ear when she checked me - so his head is down but turned sideways a little bit. I am glad he has an ear! I have had contractions the last few nights but they are very weak - none of which I think are the real thing. One of these days the real ones will start!
